Connect Harness tools

Connect the AgentStudio tools included with Token Plan Personal Edition Harness benefits, with a web search MCP example.

Connect Harness benefits tools

The Harness benefits included with the Standard and Pro plans provide AgentStudio tools such as web search, image generation, speech synthesis, and knowledge base. Each tool supports MCP, CLI, API, and SDK integration methods, as indicated on the console Harness benefits tab. Integration flow:
  1. On the My subscriptions page of the Model Studio console, switch to the Harness benefits tab to view available tools.
  2. On a tool card, click Documentation or AI Native access to view the tool's integration method.
  3. Click Go to console to obtain the access credentials for the corresponding service.
For quota and discount details of Harness benefits, see Harness benefits. This example uses Enhanced web search to demonstrate the Harness benefits tool integration flow. Enhanced web search is a Harness benefits tool included with the Standard and Pro plans, offering a monthly free quota and 88% post-paid discount with no separate activation required, and it does not consume Credits. For quota and discount details, see Harness benefits.

Prerequisites

  1. You have subscribed to the Token Plan Personal Edition Standard or Pro plan.
  2. You have set up an AI coding tool (such as Claude Code or Qwen Code) and can chat normally. See Clients and Developer Tools.
  3. You have obtained an Model Studio API Key (format: sk-xxx) for calling the MCP service. It is different from the Token Plan-specific API Key (format: sk-sp-xxx).

AI Native access

The full configuration instruction for Enhanced web search is below. Copy it to your local Agent (supports Qoder, QwenWork, Claude Code, Codex):
## Harness service local configuration guide

Follow these steps to configure Harness services for your local Agent.

### Prerequisites
1. Check whether the Bailian CLI is installed. If not, install it from: https://bailian.aliyun.com/cli/install.md
2. Log in with the Bailian CLI: bl auth login --console
3. Run: bl config show to get the config_file path and read the api_key from it.

### Services to configure — self-developed tools
Write the following MCP server configuration into your local global config (identify the correct directory). Call directly through the MCP protocol, without going through bailian-cli. Common information for all services:
- Type: HTTP Streamable
- Header: Authorization: Bearer ${DASHSCOPE_API_KEY}

Service list:

| Service | URL |
|---|---|
| Enhanced web search | https://dashscope.aliyuncs.com/api/v1/mcps/EnhancedSearch/mcp |
For other tools, go to the My subscriptions page in the console, switch to the Harness benefits tab, click Quick connect, and select the tools to copy their configuration instructions.
With AI Native access, resources are created under the default workspace.

Manual access

Write the MCP configuration directly into your local Agent's global config. The MCP address for each tool is available from the tool card in the console My subscriptions > Harness benefits tab. Use the Model Studio API Key (sk-xxx) from the prerequisites. For Enhanced web search, the URL is https://dashscope.aliyuncs.com/api/v1/mcps/EnhancedSearch/mcp, header Authorization: Bearer YOUR_API_KEY, type HTTP Streamable. The following examples show several tools:
  • OpenCode
  • Codex
  • Claude Code
  • Qwen Code
opencode mcp add EnhancedSearch --url https://dashscope.aliyuncs.com/api/v1/mcps/EnhancedSearch/mcp --header "Authorization=Bearer YOUR_API_KEY"
Run /mcps in OpenCode to confirm EnhancedSearch status is connected.
For other Harness benefits tools, the MCP address is also available from the tool card in the console My subscriptions > Harness benefits tab. The configuration method is the same.
