Field extraction overview

Field extraction works on documents containing text and images, such as contracts, invoices, reports, and forms, extracting business data according to a field structure you define. In addition to returning data ready for your business systems, it also provides per-field status to help you identify missing, inferred, and conflicting values.

What problems does Extract solve

• Extract contract numbers, signing parties, amounts, and dates from contracts.
• Extract headers, line items, and summary fields from invoices or forms.
• Convert key metrics in reports into a fixed JSON structure.
• Generate structured results with field status for review, archiving, or business automation.

For example, a report analysis Agent needs "reporting period, operating revenue, and budget commitment utilization rate". Once you define these fields, ParseX organizes the results in the same structure, and the Agent uses that data to complete the report analysis.
