Metering and Billing

Learn about ParseX's per-capability metering dimensions, where to view usage in the console, and the boundaries of official pricing information.

Usage for Parse and Extract is recorded separately. Document/image content is metered by page; audio and video parsing is metered by second.

Input metering dimensions

Input typeMetering dimension
PDF, PPT, and imagesMetered by the actual number of pages processed; images are metered as pages, and oversized images are split
Text containers such as Word documents, spreadsheets, Markdown, plain text, HTML, and e-booksConverted to pages based on text volume / 2000
Audio and videoMetered by the actual processing duration, in seconds

One-time free quota

Accounts activating ParseX for the first time receive the following quotas:
CapabilityOne-time free quota
Document/image parsing3,000 pages
Field extraction3,000 pages
Video parsing100 hours
Audio parsing100 hours
RuleDescription
Number of grantsGranted once upon first activation; not reissued daily or monthly
Quota exhaustedAutomatically billed on a pay-as-you-go basis
Direct extraction from new documentsOnly deducts from the extraction free quota, not the parsing free quota
For example, directly extracting a newly uploaded 10-page document deducts 10 pages from the extraction quota when the extraction free quota applies and is sufficient, while the parsing free quota remains unchanged.

Pay-as-you-go pricing

The following are pay-as-you-go prices for real-time processing.

Parse (document parsing)

Parsing typeUnit price
Document/image parsing¥0.02 / page
Video parsing¥0.002 / second
Audio parsing¥0.00035 / second

Extract (field extraction)

ScenarioUnit priceProcessing included
Extraction from new document/image files¥0.06 / pageParse first, then extract
Extraction using reusable parse results¥0.04 / pagePerform field extraction directly on the parse result
  • The unit price for direct extraction from new documents already includes parsing; no additional parsing fee is charged.
  • "Already parsed" means this extraction actually reused a ParseX parse result; files processed by other tools do not fall into this pricing scenario.
  • For the conditions for reusing parse results, see Supported Files and Limits.

Cost calculation examples

The following examples assume no free quota is available for deduction, and that the example quantities equal the actual metered quantities. Audio/video durations are first converted to seconds.
OperationCalculationCost
Parse 100 pages of document/image content100 × ¥0.02¥2.00
Directly extract a 100-page new document100 × ¥0.06¥6.00
Extract from 100 pages of reusable parse results100 × ¥0.04¥4.00
Parse 10 minutes of audio600 × ¥0.00035¥0.21
Parse 10 minutes of video600 × ¥0.002¥1.20
