Usage

View the public status of ParseX asynchronous tasks, along with task records and usage information in the console.

The Usage page shows the number of tasks and processing volume over a specified period, helping you understand which capabilities your Agent applications mainly use and how usage changes day by day.

Before you start

  • Decide on the date range you want to view.
  • Log in to the ParseX console and go to "Usage" in the left sidebar.

View usage over a period

  1. Select a start date and an end date.
  2. Check the overview at the top to see the number of tasks and total processing volume.
  3. Check the category summary to identify the main capabilities and input types used.
  4. Check the daily details to find dates with notable usage changes.
  5. When you need to investigate specific files, search by the corresponding date and capability in Task Records.

Understand the overview metrics

MetricMeaning
Completed tasksNumber of tasks that finished processing, including both successful and failed tasks
Successful tasksNumber of tasks that completed processing successfully
Document/image pages processedDocument/image processing volume, split into parsed pages and extracted pages
Audio/video seconds processedAudio/video processing duration, split into audio seconds and video seconds
The task count indicates how many times processing ran; the page or second counts indicate how much content was processed. When comparing usage, compare figures with the same unit separately.

View the category summary

CategoryQuestions it can answer
CapabilityDoes the usage come from Parse (document parsing) or Extract (field extraction)?
Input typeIs the content mainly document/image files, parsed results, audio, or video?
Processing methodWhich processing method did these tasks use?
Unit and quantityWhat is the processing volume for each category?
Parsed pages and extracted pages are recorded separately for the two types of processing. When the same material is used for both capabilities, check the corresponding rows separately; do not add the two figures together as the total page count of the uploaded files.

View daily details

DetailPurpose
Calls and completed tasksObserve daily calls and task completion
Parsed pages and extracted pagesObserve changes in document/image processing volume
Audio seconds and video secondsObserve changes in audio/video processing duration
For example, if you notice a significant increase in extracted pages on a certain day, you can filter that day's extraction tasks in Task Records to check the new files and the per-run processing volume. When you are done, you should be able to identify the main sources of usage and the dates that need further investigation. For cost calculation rules, see Metering and Billing.
