Configure an MSE Cloud Native Gateway

Applicability

This guide is for users with access to an Alibaba Cloud Model Studio secure storage workspace. To learn how to enable the workspace, contact your account manager.

Prerequisites

• You have created a gateway.
• You have configured resources in a VPC.

Step 1: Create a service

Add an existing service to the gateway. This action registers the service, making it available for routing and allowing the gateway to discover its address.

1. Log on to the MSE Gateway Management Console.
2. In the left navigation bar, select Cloud Native Gateway > Gateway List, and click the name of the gateway that you created in Create Gateway.
3. In the left-side navigation pane, choose Route Management.
4. On the Service tab, click Create Service.
5. Configure the following parameters.

   Parameter	Description
   Service source	Select DNS Domain. The gateway uses the resolved DNS address for the backend service.
   Service Name	Enter a custom name. We recommend a descriptive name for easy identification.
   Service port	The port and domain of the Elasticsearch instance. To find this information: On the Elasticsearch Instances page, click the ID of the Elasticsearch instance specified in Configure ES to go to the instance details page. On the Basic Information page, use the Private Port value as the service port and the Private Address value as the domain.
   Domain list
   TLS mode	Select Disable.

6. Click OK. The health check may take some time. Wait for the Health Check Status to become Healthy, which indicates that the service is available.

Step 2: Create a route

Forward incoming requests to the configured backend service.

1. On the Routing tab, click Create Route and configure the following parameters.

   Parameter	Description
   Route name	Enter a custom name. We recommend a descriptive name for easy identification.
   Domain	Click Create Domain, and then enter the domain of the Elasticsearch instance. To find the domain: On the Alibaba Cloud Model Studio platform, go to your secure storage workspace. On the Resource Configuration page, copy the domain from the Elasticsearch section.
   Path	Enter /.
   Routing policy	Single service.
   Backend service	Select the service that you created in Step 1.

2. Click Save and Publish.

Step 3: Activate the secure storage workspace

1. Log on to the Alibaba Cloud Model Studio Large Model Service Platform.
2. On the Workspace Management page, find your Alibaba Cloud Model Studio secure storage workspace. In the Actions column, click Manage Model Studio Secure Storage.
3. Click Next Step repeatedly until you reach the Resource Configuration page.
4. Verify that the Elasticsearch, ADB, and OSS configurations are correct, then click Activate at the bottom of the page.
5. Wait for the Activated message to appear.

Verify the results

Return to the workspace list and check the status of the secure storage workspace.

• Before activation, the workspace status is Unavailable.
• After successful activation, the workspace status is Available.
